Copper or PEX tubing should be your only options, and I do not like plastic for any long term installation.: Polybutylene Tubbing Or Copper Tubbing Which Is The Best To Use?

Not knowing your brand or style of faucet, or your water quality and pressure it makes this difficult to answer.IF you have a faucet with a sprayer you might want to see if the diverter is plugged or warn out.First, turn off the hot and cold to your faucet. Then make sure the pressure really is fully off by opening the hot and cold.Basically (with most, but not all brands) you will need to take the spout off. Find that diverter and bring it to your local, quality, real plumbing supply store and let them determine what is wrong.Either that or tell us a LOT more.

A faulty spray unit is the most likely cause of this. When the water does not come out of the spout, press the hose lever and see if water ocmes out of it. If you do not have a hose unit look at the bottomof the faucet,(inside the cabinet at the top of the sink and see if there is a square head plug there. You may have a spray faucet with the spray removed. If so, the diverter is probably still installed and is not working properly. If this is the case, remove the spout and you will probably find a slotted item inside the faucet. Use a screwdriver to remove it and reinstall the spoout and see if it works. The diverter unit is not really essential even if you have a spray hose. You can remove it and the spray will still work, the water will just run from the spout also, which it may do now.: My house is only 6 year old. When I open kitchen faucet for water, it is moody. Some times these are faulty or are clogged with corrosion or small rocks that enter the water piping system.
