Marble Vanity leaking

I was instructed to use plumber’s putty on my marble vanity drain however I cannot seem to stop it from leaking. I read the container of plumber’s putty and it said not to use on marble. Do you have any suggestions on what I should use? Thank You

The “plumbers” putty will stain the marble.

Now go to a plumbing supply store NOT a home center and buy MARBLE APPROVED SOS putty

Now please send a Check for $25 to the Saint Jude Childrens hospital for this advice . Shalom
