I’ve read several posts in the past about water lines whisteling, but none of them seem to be the same as my problem. Without running any water, my water pipes will suddenly start whistling. It will last from 2-3 minutes then stop and it occurs about every 45-90 minutes. It is a loud noise that wakes me up at night. I am able to find the source of the sound… it is behind the wall in my shower but it is about 6 feet up from the floor where there are no valves.

Any ideas? It’s driving me crazy!

It sounds like youare in an apt. and peopel are using water and makinking the whistle sound. Might have to much water press. If you have PRV try turnning it down.

Check the toilet(s), one is losing water through the flapper or tank ball.
