Looking to switch position of basin and toilet in unit on first floor directly above the undercover parking area (ie has access to piping from the car park area). Question is what is involved in making the switch and is it possible? in regards to the size of the pipework involved for the sewer pipe and basin outlet.

Minimum pipe size for the toilet is 3″ while for a basin (I’m assuming a lavatory) is 1-1/4″ or possibly 1-1/2″ depending on your local code. The drains will have to be repiped and possibly the vents too. Anything is possible given enough time, effort and money.
