I live in Queens, NYC and have been told by DEP that the sewer line from my house to city sewer is damaged and have been issued a violation to repair. What are my options? From foundation to city sewer is about 50 ft, how much would this cost approximately? Thanks.

Have someone run a camera through the line and see wher bad part is, are just dig it up and replace whole sewer, why waste money on camera when you can put it on sewer job, let me know.

Retired is right about the camera, but using a camera may well save you alot of money over simply digging up the entire line and replacing, since a camera will show you what the problem is, and using a transponder with it will detect exactly where the camera head is at and hence the break, and the operator then can mark the spot on the ground with marking paint to pinpoint exactly where you need to dig.
