Any truth to the claim that filtering your washer’s drain water before it hits your septic system will help prevent the leaching beds from clogging up?

If so, any do-it-yourself tips? Can I hook a standard water filter into the line? What size particles (20 -30 -60 microns) are you trying to keep out?

        Thanks for any tips!

Never heard to much about that ,I got septic tank 14 yrs. and washer runs in there have no trouble so far. If you want a filter get a small tank and conect to outlet pipe and run outlet pipe inside tank to within 6″ of bottom, all the stuff will float on top, you will have to clean it out once a month.
