Sump pit vs. Ejector Pit

I’m installing a basement bathroom. I already have a 19″ sump pit/pump in the space. Can I use the same pit with an ejector pump, or do I need to dig a new pit?

It sounds small, usually are bigger, check out what pump you are going to use and see what size pit they call for or check with your local Plumbing inspecter.
