I have a washing machine in the basement, the main drain line is 7′ overhead running horizontal. How do I connect to it?

As far as I know you will need a sump pump pit in floor and put trap in main line and drain it in to it. They might have something new out where you dont have to break up floor. I think the site is Zeoller pump.
