Need some advice on installing a toilet in basement 18″ below where the sewage line goes to the septic tank. Also, is there a way to vent the tank without tearing up the wall upstairs and roof?

There are toilets made for this purpose. “Quik Jon” is one brand I have used. Unless you are really competent, this is not a DIY project. It involves complicated plumbing, rough-ins, and electrics.

got to http://www.zoeller.com/zcopump/products/homeimprove/qwikjon.HTM and click on the inst. inst on the lower left hand corner to see what it take to install a “Qwik Jon”. Like the man says, you need to know plumbing and wiring and well as capentry. Good luck!
