What is the easiest way to locate my septic lid without digging up my yard?

Mr Steam. look in the vicinity that you think it may be, look for a dryer area, get a crow bar, wear strong steel capped safety boots & probe with the crow bar.
Alternativly hire a Licensed plumber with a sewer eal & you listen to the rattle of the sewer machine, you should be able to follow the rattle fairly easily. then probe.
