I recently had a walk in shower built in my loft (I’m on the 2nd floor of the building). It looks like there is quite a bit of tile mortar or concrete in the drain. Water will drain, but it is very slow. What can I do? If this requires a professional, any estimate on cost? Also, I am very concerned about any leaking on my downstairs neighbor, and want to ensure that will not be a problem. Thanks!

You did not say, I am guessing that the tile you see is this side of the P trap. If this is true, use a wet vac to get that stuff out of the drain. If it is hardened, call back that tile guy to get it proper for you.
