        I have ruled out the water traps as the cause of a persistant sewer odor in my downstairs bathroom. How do I determine whether the toilet seal or a clogged vent pipe are causing it?

            Louise Cornell, again call a licensed Plumber & ask for a smoke test or a water test to identify if a leak exists.
