        We have an owerflow well connected to our septic tank. the pump runs on electricity . However, when the power goes off we have to use generator and sub pump otherwise we get our basement flooded . Is there any way to get a backup system going so we can go for holidays without bothering the neighbours to look after our septic. Thank you very much for any advise.. Joe

          Yes but the solution is not cheep. An invertor will need to be wired into your pump circuit so that a 12 volt battery can be used to run the 115 V. effluent pump you are currently using. Most 12 V. pumps will not have the correct stainer opening to deal with the solids that may be present in the effluent in the pumping chamber. around a $1000 PLUS INSTALLATION by a licencesd electrician.
