I don’t know much about french drains, only that they can solve water problems.
We bought a house built in 1950. All the houses on our block that have basements have water problems. In the spring when it rains, the water runs in from the walls. We have a sump pump but we want to finish the basement.
How do french drains work and what level of work would it take to install some in the basement to help with our water problem?

Water-Barrier is a dry basement in a box! If you think you might like to install a Water-Barrier.com system yourself — Good Luck!
