How do you take apart a cast iron “T” without cutting thru it? Any suggestions? OR how would you heat up the lead and back it out? We are re-doing an OLD bathroom on the second story that has a broken cast iron pipe and we need to remove that section. Please help!!

You can use a “snap cutter” A rec saw (takes a long long time with lots of metal blades)
You can burn out the old joint and break the CI pipe and pull out this defective section.

Best bet hire a LMP to do it as it could be dangerious using a flame near an open sewer pipe.
