sewer gas smell

        I have sewer gas smell coming from by basement sewers. sometimes really bad but not all the time. Are there dangers in this happeneing? and also what can I do to stop the smell?. is there something to put down the drain?. help me please.

          Ron Sauerbier, please read the inquiries, and responses posted earlier on the GREAT MasterPlumbers.com Bulletin Board by Molly on the 26th of November, 2000, nana on the 19th of November, 2000, and Bcull on December 6, 2000. All three are experiencing sewer gas odors in their homes. JWA
