        Hi there –
My plumber had a guy with a “locator” come out, and the guy left something behind. It’s a heavy green cylinder, 2.6 inches long by just over 1 inches in diameter, with a wide dip running down one side. At one end, a quarter can be used to unscrew a silver insert that holds a AAA battery in place.
I’ve been told it’s a “sendind unit” that straps on to a snake that searches the soil line, but I can’t find anything like that on the internet. Does anyone know where they are available online? Or who makes them? My plumber has moved, I don’t know who the locator man was … and I’m curious!
        sincerely,
        kate in silver lake
