        Is there any danger to leveling a mound system? the house has been on city sewer system for over a year.

          bdc86, go ahead and remove the mound, but I recommend that you inquire at the local septic system regulatory agency as to where to dispose of the gravel and soil that is below the gravel. Some jurisdictions require that this material be disposed of in a sanitary landfill. JWA
