My garbage desposal is clogged up,
and I have no idea what to do.
Is there a way to fix this without
        calling a plumber?
        Thank you

My garbage disposal is plugged up too. Has anyone answered you? This JUST happened after Thanksgiving Dinner. Worked fine all morning. Guess I should be thankful that it worked to get rid of the potatoe peels, huh? LOL
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

potato peels? ooooh no! thats why you have a clogged sink. :-(
It is not a garbage disposal problem, it IS a clog in the drain. remove the pipes under the sink and dump out the peels, or call a plumber.

Here is another tip…never, never grind artichoke leaves in the disposal…it forms like concrete and will absolutely require taking the pipes apart..this also applies to any fibrous material that expands once ground and mixed with water. Corn husks are another example.
