how about some pointers on replacing a wax ring. I can’t seem to get it right. Still leaks around bottom.

Remove all remnants of existing wax ring. Including fron the toilet horn (bottom of the actual toilet)
Check the floor flange to make sure it is not to high
Use a QUALITY wax ring (Hercules High hat or SOS Brand)
Use ONLY Quality Johnni bolts and tighten evenly GENTLY
All else fails call a LMP
