I am running one toilet only into a septic tank. Started getting a sewer odor every time toilet is flushed. Only last for a few secounds. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a partially blocked vent pipe OR a partial stoppage.
The sewer gas your smelling means your getting some type of back pressure.
The standing water in the toilet is the trap seal and if your flushing the trap seal becomes non existent for a split second BUT the vent should force the air out not back. Did you happen to notice a gurgling sound when the flushing cycle is finished?
