after flushing the downstairs toilet there is a loud vibration in the pipes. Also the water has turned a rust colour and affects both the upstairs and downstairs toilets and faucets. Why is this happening?

The vibration is usually caused by a worn out fill valve in the toilet. The rusty water may be due to the vibration disturbing the sediment in the pipes.

This condition can also occur with other Quick closing valves. If this happens also with awashing machine it is most lightly due to hydraulic shock (Water hammer)please let meknow if it just the toilet or any other fixture
