Floor drain in the basement making
continues gurgling sound. water flows freely when added. Always sounds like water running. All water sourses checked and nothing leaking. -
Sounds like that floor drain is being used as a vent. It is probably right off the main sewer line from the house before it exits to the street. If it is in the middle of the room, another reason why it was not vented properly. This could be dangerous to your health, but probably more annoying than anything else.
