We have a new house and have a terrible sewage smell coming from the vent pipes (we think). It smells like sewer gas and is very offensive. PLEASE HELP! Is there any filters or do we have serious problems? Thanks Mark

If you are referring to the drain vent pipes coming through the roof, then sewer gas will always be venting from them. Normally, they are high enough or in the right place for wind currents to crry them away, but your roof may be designed in such a way that the air currents are bringing them down or into the house, depending on where you notice the odor.

Mark, contact Jim Richard at Richard Septic Systems in Torrington, Connecticut regarding the “Sweet Air” roof vent filter. His web page address is,

            http://richardseptic.com

Click on “R” Products, and then click on ACCESSORIES to view this activated carbon filter. I have used this type of filter on several occasions with 100% success. JWA
