        How do you clock a gas meter to see if the system is piped right?

          There are tables in the Nation Fuel Gas Code book ANSI Z223.1 1996 and NFPA 54-1996 you might be able to find in the library or ask a local heating contractor for this help.

            Ifin yas get stuck on this one I would be happy to write the whole dang proceedure down fer yas to follow.
            Ya need to know the CV of the gas you are using, the BTU’s/hr for all of the appliances connected – if you want to test the total operating system – can do it with one appliance the furtherest from the meter (end of the pipeline), the time in seconds taken over the test period and the amount of gas consumed in that measured time period. The rest is just a simple math calculation.
