Been plumbing for 21 years but had to weld a cooking line in the wall. Don’t ever remember having to do this before. Have screwed exposed many times. Just bothered me a little thanks.

When working on piping over 2″ or over a half pound per square inch pressure We always weld it.

What pressure are you working at?

Screwed gas piping is not allowed in walls UNLESS you have acess to it ,by means of a acess door or panel, otherwise it has to be welded. This is the code in NE.
