        I am installing a new cooktop. The installation manual shows the Pressure Regulator in a vertical postion (pipe straight up and down). I need more clearance and can get by installing regulator in a horizontal position (using a 45 degree elbow). Will this work?

        Is it safe?

          The regulator is not limited to any orientation. Put it in however it will fit.
