We have had a AquaStar Tankless Water Heater for about a year now. The past few weeks the gas shuts off, can someone give me a clue on way this is happening?

Often this is a safety feature if the water in the tank gets too hot. Your thermostat could be defective, or the flow switch that maches the flame size to the amount of water flowing through the heater could be malfunctioning and giving too big a flame.

hj thank you for you advise, sounds like that is what it could be. But one more question, the flame goes out sometimes even when the water heater is on.
Do that change anything.
