        We are considering using pex plumbing for our home.

        We have heard about brass pex (crimp) fittings failing in Minnesota and elsewhere. Most seem to be manufactured by Zurn.

        Has anyone had brass fittings fail and if so, can you share your experience?DUNBAR2007-08-24 09:57:33

          There are also problems with KITEC PEX piping as well. There are many types of this piping produced……all of which is very risky to use until they have some type of track record in the United States where chlorine is in the water.

          Over in other countries…their chlorine levels are significantly lower which provides less problems in water systems.
