Shower Noise Problem

        When we run the shower or the tub there is a scrrching noise that comes from the pipes just below the tub. We chut off the water in the basement to drain all the water pipes thinking there was air in the pipes. We did this twice and still it makes the noise.

        Sometime it makes the noise and sometimes it doesn’t. But it seems to be doing it almost half the time now. What is causing this? We did have the bathroom faucet replaced 5 years before by a plumber. Did something come loose? Thats the only facuet that makes the noise. [email]null[/email]DUNBAR2007-08-24 09:54:36

          Sounds like you have a loose washer in the faucet, replace washers and see. Let me know.

            Sounds like the tub spout diverter has went bad. I would replace the tub spout and see if this corrects the problem.
