I need to replace the diverter in a two handle Delta kitchen faucet because the sprayer is not shutting off all the time. The replacement recommended on the Delta website (Part No. RP 6073) does not seem correct since it is slotted and supposedly removable with a coin after taking off the spout. Mine has a hex top and is recessed and apparently needs some kind of remover. Has anyone replaced one of these and knows what the correct part number is?

Get the name of faucet and go to http://www.plumbingpartsdepot.com and they will bring up a drawing showing you the part. http://www.plumbingsupply.com is another site.

Thanks for the links – looks like I have a Delex Model A which lists the same diverter (RP6073) as the Delta site. I’m wondering if someone changed this in the past and used a third party replacement. I’m going to try getting it out with a long allen key.
