I have a one pipe system and need to know how to add an additional zone. How does the piping work? It comes out of the boiler but how does it tie back together?

Since nobody will answer I will try. Your one pipe syrtem Starts at boiler and goes through your baseboard conveters and ends up back to boiler with a return pump. If you want another zone then start at boiler supply and run your pipe and end up connecting into return line, use bal. cock in new return, Better off geting a Plumber and have it done.

Thanks for the reply. I’d like to do this myself if I can. The new zone is for the basement and I can easily get access to everything. I guess I use the bal. cock in new return to connect the loop? I see the other zones coming out of the boiler I’m just not sure how the line gets back.

Thanks again. So just so I’m sure I run the line out to the room into the baseboard unit and back to the boiler and it connects to a pump there?
