Our community of 1,150 homes in Florida needs to install pressure regulators on our homes. Most homes are supplied from a 1″ line, some are 3/4″ lines.
How do we determine which valve manufacturers regulator is the best for our application?
Some valve manufacturers recommend installation on a horizontal section of pipe to extend life. Why does horizontal installation extend life? How long an extension should we reasonably expect with horizontal installation?
We plan to install the regulators just downstream of the backflow device. Is this the appropriate location to install?

The one used around here is uaualy Watts, it can be installed Horazontal are vertical, look them up on internet.
