A pen was flushed down my toilet and now there is noticable blockage. What do I do? I tried bending a hanger to reach up there, no luck. Plunging it clears the blockage momentarily, but it slowly comes back.

Take all water out of bowl and use mirrow and see if you can see pen and try to get it out with small grabber, are try closet augar if nothing works take up bowl and try to get it out, .

I would pull the toilet immediately and take out side, turn it upside down and get the pen. You do not want it to go beyond the toilet to your main sewer. How do you know it is a pen in there?
