I’ve turned the mains water off, ran the hot water dry and changed washers, only to find that the hot water now doesn’t run nowhere near as hard as it used to.
My guess is that there is air in the pipes, is there a way to fix this without calling a plumber?

Your washer could have come loose, are swelled up , are not put on right, let me know, take it apart and check, also check washer wher you tured off water.
