Water heater trips breaker at circuit box.

I have a Rheem electric water heater. I replaced both heating elements. Now it trips the breaker after a couple of minutes. Not sure what the problem is can you help?

Check the thermostat for correct operation and wiring sounds like you have a faulty thermostat. Also check the resistance through the electic elements with the power supply SHUT OFF at the main supply switch – I know you have replaced them but it is possible to buy a dud and a shorted out element will certainly cause the circuit to trip out, so will an incorrectly wired up one. Have them checked by an electrician.
