I have a combo Tub & Shower. I want to remove the tub and just have a shower. I am a novice and want to know if there is a good book or some references to show what to do with the pipes after the tub is gone. Thanks. [email protected]

Most people install the piping wrong because; the drain piping for a shower needs tobe larger and most of the time in older homes only plumber’s have the right tools for that kind of job.

after the unit is removed, you’ll need to find a 2in drain pipe .most tubs only have a 1 1/2 pipe going to them, but if your lucky maybe they started with 2in and reduced…worst case you’ll have to go back to the stack and run a whole new 2in. line….have fun and good luck
