      My water heater keeps tripping the high limit button on the lower thermostate. Is the water getting to hot and if so why is it? does the element need to be replaced? It happens just about every day.

      It could be about 8 differn’t things the element could be it, but first check the thermostat setting and if it is correctly mounted and insulated.
