Our kitchen faucet hammers when the hot water is on. It happens only with the kitchen faucet It occurs only when the hot water comes up and only on low flow. When the faucet is turned up, practically full blast, the hammering stops. What is this problem?

TIM FIRST CHECK TO SEE THAT THE WASHER ON THE END OF THE STEM IS ON TIGHT. IF IT IS THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE HOT WATER LINE IE: A PIECE OF SOLDER, AN OLD BIBB SCREW ETC. MOST CAN BE BLOWN OUT BY REMOVING THE STEM AND IF POSSIBLE THE SEAT AND TURN THE WATER ON FULL HOLD A POT OVER THE OPENING.
          GOOD LUCK
