When the hot water in my shower is turned on full (no cold mixed in), after the water gets hot, I hear a loud chattering noise. I can then turn the knob to mix some cold water with the hot and the chatter goes away. Could this be the faucet needing new seats.???

Sounds more to me like pipe expansion, where when the hot water raises the temp of the pipe riser it makes it expand and against whatever it is strapped to, if it’s strapped at all.

Sometimes water hammer arrestors on the risers feeding the shower valve can work, or better strapping.

It may also be what you suggest, but usually not the case.

Sounds like you have a loose washer, take it apart and see, let me know.
