We have an extra well on our property used to water garden etc. Previous owner has PCV pipe running through top of well to bottm and looks like it was hooked up to a gas pump but really can’t tell. We would like to know if anyone knows what type of pump was used our could be used to get water out for outside use without an electrical pump. Water is about 20 ft. down. Thanks
Out west they use awindmill pump and when its windy you get water. All I know is a gas pump are Picture hand pump, there might be something different but I dont know about it. go into serch maybe they have something new. Let me know case I need something like that.
On our farm growing up, we have one of the old-fashioned hand pumps to bring up water out of a capped well for the horses & cows. It still works, pump the long handle up & down to get water, just when you need it. It has never required any maintainence or weather proofing. It I don’t know where you can get one now-adays, but, that sounds like what you need.
