I’m investigating shower diverter valves for converting an existing shower head so that it can also have a hand-held shower as well (for disabled use). I have seen setups like these, which use a simple plastic or metal lug which is turned to divert the water flow through either the stndard shower head or the handheld shower.
Does anyone have any advice on whether these are readily available, easily installed by a plumber, approximate costs, and possibly any websites that discuss/show them?

        Thanks!!

Check out this web site and go to http://www.google.com and ask for Shower mixing valves for disabled.
