how do you clean a dishwasher drain[email][/email]

Pull the lower front access panel on the dishwasher, depress the spring wire clamp that holds the hose to the barbed nipple off of the discharge pump.
Remove the hose, expect a small amount of water to come back out. Then, remove the hose at the other end and pull out to clean.
What exactly is the problems you are having?
The inlet screen in the center of the bottom of discharge might be clogged, causing your situation.
