I just moved in to a house and it came with a Master Conditioning Corp Water Softener. I don’t think it works, it sounds like it works but there is a hose that goes from the tank to the “salt holding tank” and nothing is moving threw the hose? The water is turning my hair red, will this system even help

Reddish water usually is associated with high iron content, possibly even arsenic. Have the water tested if you’re on a well, you may be drinking contaminated well water, or simply remove the unit from the domestic supply if on municipal water until you can replace/repair it.
