Putting up a bastket ball hoop. Two pieces of tubing 5 ft long, 3 inch diameter have been connected one end onto a
tapered end…these have been connected in error, how can i seperate them?

Use a piece of pipe and a hammer. Insert the pipe through the top piece and rest it on the ridge of the lower one. Hammer the pipe to separate the two pieces.

Use a little heat and use a wax candle . This will loosen the connection. As the wax flows in it acts like a lubricant. The slight heat will expand the slip in connection and thus allowing you to seperate these sections.
