In the morning when I turn on the hot water air comes out of the faucets or shower. My water source is a well and the air is only in the hot water pipes. Could the air be coming from the water heater since it is not in the cold water pipes.

What is the temperature set to on the water heater, and has there been any work done on the plumbing system in recent weeks/months regarding water piping?
