        KENMORE AUTOMATIC DISHWASER, ONLY 11/2 YEARS OLD. THE DETERGENT CUP WILL NOT OPEN. I HAVE TRIED TO TURN THE KNOB LIKE THE BOOK SAYS AND IT STILL WILL NOT OPEN. PLEASE HELP WHAT ELSE CAN I TRY WITHOUT BREAKING IT.

          Mine was stuck like that one time and I took hot water and dumped over top and tapped it with my hand and it came up I think what it was I put to much soap in it and it packed tight enough to lock the lid when the soap gets damp it is like glue, if it dont come loose call Sears.
