How do I turn on my underground sprinkler system? I have a vacuum breaker.

To “turn on” your sprinkler system I would try a glass of cold white wine a candle lit dinner maybe some soft classical music. A trip on a horse drawn carriage through a park on a moon lit night.
Wispering tender “I love you” in the Ball valve’s ear. Fondling the handles always seems to work for me? Be gentle BUT firm and for Gods sake NEVER methion other sprinkler systems you had over the years.
