        8 year old Maytag D/W won’t drain.

        Besides a plugged drain & drain pipe, what should I look for?

        Appreciate any suggestions.

          maybe the drain dont drain cause the pump dont pump! dishwashers drain WAY uphill, gravity wont do it!

            I have a 5 year old roper doing the same thing, It pumps but not fast enough or long enough
            I am guessing that the pump is going bad ?

                  Thanks guys!

                  Any chance this draining problem is a result of a loose belt?

                  If so, how does one decide if the belt has stretched over the years? Is there an easy way to
                  decide (like with the old fan belts on cars where you were only supposed to be able to press
                  them in 1/2 inch)?
