I need to replace a garbage disposal unit. I found info for installation on HGTV, but only an
unanswered “enquiry” for removal on your bulletin board since September of last year. How do you update your
information or should you just request it direct? -
Two reasons for no reply.
First every manufacturer has its own mounting system, so there is no one specific reply without knowing the brand. Second, removal is intuitive. Either remove the three nuts or rotate a lock ring clockwise and drop the disposer (not Disposal®GE), remove the three clamp bolts, remove the mounting ring, (either by rotating it or removing a recessed snap ring), and then take out the sink ring.
